Our families. Our neighbours. Our community.

Building Evergreen Together

What could you bring?

A little time, a useful skill, materials you already have or an introduction can make a real difference. Choose something that fits your interests and circumstances.

A regular hand in the kitchen

Join Ms. Natasha.

Help with food preparation, cooking, dishes and cleanup. As you get to know the routine, your time becomes dependable support for the kitchen and the children it serves.

Once a week Every two weeks Once a month

Find a rhythm that works for you.

  • A morning or part of a morning can help.
  • Several small, regular commitments can add up to substantial support.
  • Tell us your availability and we will work out the details together.
  • Occasional help is welcome too.

There are other ways to share your time: prepare project materials at home, support an activity, help at an event or introduce children to a skill you enjoy.

Take something from idea to done

Practical projects

Put your experience to work on a specific improvement. You can help with one part or take on a whole project.

Hardwire the computer lab

Help plan and run network cable, connect the computers, label the connections and test the setup. Discuss the cabling project.

Build, repair or organize

Help with workshop storage, the mobile makerspace cabinet, useful jigs, equipment setup or a repair. Let us know your skills and we can match them to a current project.

Connect us with businesses

Share Evergreen's or CE Alliance's story with a business you know. Help explore a specific opportunity to contribute materials, expertise, sponsorship or an experience for students.

Find a regular source of materials

A printer's spare cardstock, a workshop's small wood offcuts or a fabric supplier's remnants could become valuable building materials. Help make the introduction or arrange an agreed collection.

Useful things with more to give

Materials & equipment

Everyday items can become wheels, structures, mechanisms and creative projects. Tell us what you have available.

Matching caps and small parts

Do you regularly use the same drink carton or bottle? Clean, matching caps are especially useful. We can also discuss corks, empty thread spools and other consistent small parts.

Cardstock and building materials

Unused or misprinted cardstock, postcards, clean cardboard, corrugated plastic, small wood offcuts, dowels and fabric remnants can support hands-on projects.

Helmets and protective equipment

Help us source helmets and protective pads suitable for students using skateboards. Contact us first so we can confirm the types, sizes and condition requirements.

Tools, storage and other equipment

Have useful measuring tools, clamps, small-parts organizers, kitchen supplies or compatible technology? Send us the details so we can confirm what we can use.

Please email a photo, approximate quantity and condition before dropping items off. We will confirm what is useful and arrange a time.

Help the community grow

Share your experience. Make a connection.

A family's own story helps others understand life at Evergreen. A thoughtful introduction can open a new opportunity.

Tell your Evergreen story

Share a moment that mattered, a skill your child developed or a change you have noticed. Written, voice and video contributions are welcome. We will agree with you on how your story is shared.
