Before You Apply

Who can apply?

We welcome high-school co-op, college, and university students, subject to placement suitability and your institution’s requirements. We confirm the learning opportunities and supervision your program needs before a placement begins.

What programs are a good fit?

Education, early childhood education, child and youth care, educational assistance, culinary arts, culinary management, and food-related programs may be a good fit. Culinary & Nutrition focuses on practical food preparation and service; it is not a clinical nutrition placement.

How many hours are available?

Dates, weekly hours, and placement length are arranged individually with you and your institution. Tell us your required hours and availability in the application so we can discuss what works with our program and supervision schedule.

Do I need previous experience?

You should be enrolled in a related program or applying through an approved high-school co-op program. Tell us about your experience and learning goals. Responsibilities are matched to your readiness, and we discuss any program-specific requirements during the review.

Is there an application deadline?

We accept applications on an ongoing basis. Places depend on suitable opportunities and available supervision. Include your intended start date and any deadlines set by your institution.

What happens after I apply?

We review your interests, availability, and program requirements. Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview to discuss expectations and fit. If selected, we confirm institutional approval, supervision, placement arrangements, and any required checks before you start. Submitting an application does not confirm or reserve a placement.

Your next learning experience could make a difference.

Bring your curiosity, build practical skills, and contribute to a community where learning happens through real experiences.
